Daniella Forstater, Philly-area native and resident, is delighted and honored to be collaborating monthly for 5779 with Rabbi Elyse and the Makom Kadosh community. Prayer leader, song leader, educator, and performer, she is thankful for her abundance of connections with communities throughout the region that allow her to share her passion for Judaism and music.
A wide variety of experiences, both Jewish and beyond, have provided a robust training ground for Daniella’s spiritual leadership. From her mathematics degree at Bryn Mawr College, to Speech/LangaugeTherapy training in West Chester and Washington DC, to Music Education certification at Temple University…from young days in Conservative synagogue, to exciting Jewish text study in progressive Yeshiva in Jerusalem, to invaluable mentorship in the Jewish Renewal world…from group music classes with effervescent kiddos, to intimate coffee house performances, to Jewish summer camp song-leading, to several years of innovative prayer leadership with a small Reconstructionist congregation, Daniella seeks to discover with those around her the joy and meaning that resides in all we encounter. She is excited and full of gratitude for the opportunity to continue her learning and co-create sacred space with a wonderfully unique and inspiring community.
